Dave has the thankless task of doling out the annual bonuses. This episode is better known as "The Shaft." Here comes the B-story: Bill is upset that people are constantly leaving half-eaten food on his desk. It's one of the best episodes of any season. It's also the first time Mr. James uses the word 'hoo doo,' which pleases me greatly.

"Big Day" also features the great Phil Hartman line, "You're very sly, but so am I." Random fact: one of the crime lab scientists in the movie Manhunter says this exact line to William Peterson (who would later star in CSI: Crime Scene Investigators.
