Season 1: NewsRadio Episode Guide
by Dave McAwesomeDave is hired as the new News Director for WNYX, New York's number 2 news radio station. His first order of business is to fire the current news director. The frenetic tempo of this episode is very unlike the more considered pacing the show would settle into by season 2. This is not a typical NewsRadio episode. It suffers from pilot-itis, the problem of having to introduce too many characters and relationships in too short a time. (The break room doesn't exist until season 2. For now it is an offline audio editing room. Exciting stuff, huh?) Joe Rogan doesn't appear in this episode as his role was played by some random guy. If you never watch this episode, you aren't missing anything. The show does get better after this. How could it not, really?
