Style Guide of Common Errors in English Grammar for Writers
amoral, immoral

amoral, immoral

Amoral means having no moral standards whatsoever. It means neither moral nor immoral. An immoral person violates moral standards, while an amoral person is completely indifferent to them. An morally ambivalent person, however, is not indifferent. He is torn between the two sides.
