bold, italics, punctuation

bold, italics and how it relates to punctuation

If putting copy into bold face or italics, do not bold/italicize the punctuation following it (if there is any), e.g. The New York Times. It's hard to see on the Web, but that period after 'Times' is not boldfaced or italicized.

For a full description of when to use italics, see this entry: italics.
