How funny is it when someone (usually on an Internet forum or Wikipedia page) says haughtily, "You must site your sources, jerkface"? What do you mean that's not funny? What do you mean I'm the jerkface?

One cites sources or cites an author. A site is a location. Sight refers to seeing.
