eerie, eery, eyrie

Before we even get into the meanings of these words, it's easy to see that they're commonly misspelled. Eerie and eery mean weird. They are usually employed in superstitious or supernatural contexts. An eyrie (also aerie, aery, eyry) is a bird's nest, usually one located in a high place.
