specially, especially, special, especial

Specially and especially mean the same thing. Same goes for special and especial. It's a matter of personal style.

None of these words ever starts a sentence. Especially in a style guide. Ha! See what I just did there? That, my friends, is called a sentence fragment. That's a dependent clause hanging out all alone. That's no good.
