Cult Leader, aka Illuminati Perceptor

On this site, the name of the cult is the Cult of McAwesome. Sounds silly enough, so there you go. The Cult begins as a single person, the Cult of McAwesome Leader. It is called the Masonic Lodge Leader in some variants. The Cult Leader PMs the game leader the name of a player he would like to recruit. If the recruit is a Townsperson, that person becomes a Cultist (in addition to whatever other role he may have, i.e. Cop, Doctor, etc.). If the recruit is a Mobster, the Cult Leader is killed. If the Cult Leader is investigated by the Cop, he may not recruit that turn.

Alternatively, the cult leader may be the Illuminati Perceptor. He recruits in the same fashion.

Recruitment alternative: If the Cult Leader/Illuminati Perceptor attempts to recruit the Cop or Doctor, nothing happens. The Cop and Doctor may never join. I strongly recommend this in order to limit the power of the cult/illuminati.

Cultist

Cultists function like Illuminati/Masons and may communicate to each other outside the forum game thread.
