The Autobots, who hold controlling interests in Cybertron's auto industry, are fiercely opposed to the Decepticons, who believe air travel will finally lower prices of consumer goods often inflated due to exorbitant transportation charges via road and rail. Rather than solve their problems through a democratically elected, bicameral congress mired in graft, corruption and greed, they fight.

Though the war ebbs and flows, the Autobots' corporate softball team retains a winning record and two--count 'em, two--Cybertron Northeast Regional Softball Trophies in the 60-plus Retiree Division.
