Megatron

Leader of the Decepticons and Tron fanboy

Megatron got his name while a teenager. He'd just seen Tron for the 15th time when he decided to make a his own underground fanzine for the movie. His uncle, Xeroxicon, let him make all the photocopies he needed. The youngster became such a fixture in Tron fandom that when the early BBS and alt.movies.tron newsgroups were formed, he went by the moniker Megatron.

The 1984 Generation 1 toy transformed into a pistol with shoulder stock and scope. It was a pretty awesome toy for its day. Nowadays, you can't even get a water gun that remotely resembles a real gun. Later versions of Megatron caved to political correctness and he transformed into a tank or something. Lame, dude. Megatron transformed into a gun that could be wielded by another Transformer, usually Soundwave. That was cool. He even had some sort of magic whereby he'd shrink in pistol form to be better wielded. Ya hear that, Harry Potter? Transformers gots magic.
