Once the Baltimore Colts, NFL supervillain Bob Irsay moved the team to Indianapolis under cover of night and snow after the 1983 season. Under cover of night and snow. Ya can't make this up. The Irsay family promised to relinquish the Colts name to Baltimore when they got a new franchise. Once again, they screw Baltimore and the new team becomes the Ravens. The Irsays also hate kittens and baby seals.

Design-wise, I think the horseshoe is one of the classics. Simple. Elegant. Beautiful. Un-Irsay-like.

Founded in 1953 as the Baltimore Colts. Moved to Indianapolis in 1984.
