It’s that time again. April is Cereal Awareness Month.

Like whales or oxygen, we often don’t appreciate what we have until we consider what would happen if we lost it. Without oxygen, we would be dead. Hence, I appreciate oxygen. I appreciate it very much. So do you. Without whales? Well, we’d pretty much be the same…until some time in the near future when an Apocalypse Machine threatens Earth unless Kirk goes back in time to bring back whales. Kirk appreciates whales. He appreciates them very much.

Where would we be without cereal? Dead. Sure you can devour your soy-based energy bar or your sausage-based breakfast-wich, but where is all that extra corn meal filler gonna go? We’d be overrun and drowning in the stuff. We need cereal more than you think, and you clearly have not thought about it as much as I have.

The rest of this month is devoted to cereal awareness. Stay strong. Spoons up. Dig in.
